Frist(next day): The Minority Leader insisted on his obstruction.

wants a third appointee to be replaced by an alternative who is preferred by Michigan's two Democratic senators
OMG.....if Frist takes this deal...we won't be able to run for Dogcatcher as a Republican.

If Reid is talking compromise, it's only because Frist has the votes. If Frist has the votes, he has only one course of action: VOTE.
Anything else will lose Republicans the majority in 2006. Take that to the bank.
