In many countries where homosexuality has not taken root yet, men holding hands is simply a sign of friendship. I thought it was really weird when i saw it since in the West that it clearly gay. Could be a custom. I dont know.

***men holding hands is simply a sign of friendship. ***

I have been told it is a symbol of deep trust in the Arab world. I saw too many women publicly holding hands in Spain to conclude they were all gay. Many turned out to be mother and daughter.
