So how many people could we save in Africa now, if we sent our brave soldiers there?

That is not a comparable situation to Vietnam, and you know it. Vietnam didn't need to be "fixed", it needed to be defended from a tyrannical force (Communism/Totalitarianism) on the march around the world.

Africa is primarily (not exclusively) suffering from self-inflicted wounds. No comparison. None.
