"everybody's hands out of my back pocket" What's the details on this? Someone suing him? Ex wife trouble? Syncophant friends? Who or what is he talking about? He shifted it to talking about political things but it sounds like he was making reference to something personal.

Without Rush there would be no Republicans in the White House; no Republican majorities in the Senate and House. He is frustrated that his hard work ended up in majority parties of wimps and losers.
Worth a re-post...so true. That and NY State sucking extra funds out of Rush, must of sent him over-the-top.

Its time to scorch the microphone with invective and let all the weenie Pubbies, johnny-come-lately-Conservatives, highly critical cheese-&-brie-poltical-scientist-wannabe-keyboard-jockeys-in-chatrooms-that-never-did-a-thing-in-their-lives be damned. Megadittoes to that!

Savage was an ridiculous last night.
Sometimes he can be but mostly he is right on.
I still like Rush but I am so tired of all the phony stuff that Savage is the only one that interests me lately.
All this middle of the road craziness drives people over the edge. Sometimes I feel crazy like Savage.

I myself would like to see more progress now that we have both the Senate, the House, and the Presidency. We need to make hay while the sun shines, and it would be nice to see the Congress doing something besides back-biting and playing unnecessary partisan politics: we are running the show, so let's get on with it.
Without Republican cooperation, this DeLay nonsense can go absolutely nowhere; without Republican acquiescence, this intransigence on judicial nominations can go nowhere. So, as Mr. Limbaugh says, our leaders need to lead, to grow a spine and get on with their work.

Rush is a phony otherwise he would be pounding on Bush for his liberal anti-conservative proposals.

Michael Savage is just another unstable phony. He doesn't believe a "conservative" word he's saying - he just knows what buttons to push to suck in an audience.
I'm surprised you're not able to pick up on the cognitive dissonance he exhibits. It's QUITE evident.

He's still pushing the "Guest Worker Program" which is far from "letting it all hang out on illegal immigration" as far as I'm concerned.

Let's hope others on this thread who seem to think Rush is INSANE, BURNED OUT, and OVER THE TOP can read what you just said because it is the truth and nothing but the truth. Rush deserves credit for a lot of the success of the GOP. Too bad they are too weak to pay him and all of us back.

I'm quitting Savage.
There've been a number of things over the last few months that convince me he's phony.
But, each to their own.

John the Baptist was a holy man; he wasn't divorced 3 times and addicted to pain medicine.
He probably wasn't perfect because the Lord usually picks flawed men to use. Who else is there?

George Bush should have been #1 on his list on conservative phonies. He has encouraged illegal immigration and has grown the federal government at every chance.
If it had not been for such a lousy democratic presidential candidate, Bush would have been a one term president.
Why does Bush keep trying to tackle impossible, long and drawn out things like social security when there are lots of little things he could do that would add up to make a big difference.
Eliminating the DEA and ATF would be applauded by both parties. Eliminating the IRS would go over pretty well too. Building a fence on the mexican border would be a big winner to all but the race warlords.
He's not going after any of these though - instead he is focusing on the boondoggle of education.

Savage lost me when he threw his immature fit about XM radio and stopped letting XM broadcast his show. I don't know how he thinks he can be competitive when he isn't heard in a majority of US markets.
XM was one way for him to be heard, but I guess he doesn't care so much about his message.

Sorry but GWB will never be #1 on Rush's list.
Liberals are #1 on Rush's list. If you don't think he's had many successes in many arenas by putting them on top, then I will have to disagree with you.

Rush is a phony. :) That's amusing.
To: sasafras
Just like Congress,Rush has backslid on things too. He used to rip into gays, abortionists, etc. He was ruthless in the past- that's what made him so funny. He hasn't been funny since he married that wife. He's "softened" up his show too over the years.
Get the log out of your own eye first, Rush. Then you will have the credebility to rip politicians who are gutless.

Very amusing. I shudder to think where this party would be without Rush's voice, and those that he has inspired.

"...it literally sounded like Rush had lost his mind. He was all over the map.." Really? Maybe it was the other way around.
I thought he was quite focused and right on the money - and I have been a daily 3-hour listener for almost 15 years. I couldn't have agreed with him more.
