Six Suspected Gang Members Arrested After Shooting
PASADENA, Calif. -- Two undercover police officers following a car full of suspected gang members became involved in a shootout Tuesday night, and at least six suspects have been arrested.
Police said the suspects ran a stop sign at Buckeye street, then suddenly stopped. The driver then opened fire on the officers near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Ashtabula Street, police said. The officers fired back, and others in the car they were following continued to fire. The suspects took off on foot following the shootout.
Nobody was injured, and police arrested the driver and one other suspect a short time later. Four other suspects were arrested after being found hiding behind residential homes within the perimeter that was set up after the shooting.
Although six suspects are in custody, police continued looking for evidence, and the search perimeter remained in place on Wednesday morning.
"We haven't recovered any guns at this point," police Lt. Randell Taylor said after the latest four suspects were arrested. "We are going to send in a bloodhound to look for evidence."
Police asked that anyone with information call the Pasadena Police Department.

Sad commentary on the continuing downward spiral of our civilization.
Just my opinion of course.
bd...here is the permimeter I told you about last night.
PING
There was an attempted sexual assault on a walker along the Linda Vista around 5pm too....very popular walking path around the Rose Bowl....million dollar houses!

Am I alone here, or does anyone else think it's wierd that these shootouts end up with nobody injured? Back to the range for the cops involved; that's my suggestion.
I understand it with the gang boys...they're all holding their pieces sideways, but you'd think the cops could hit something...once in a while.
let me guess , viva la rasa......
The gangbangers stopped their car and then opened fire at the officers in the police car behind them.
Unbelievable - they are bolder than ever.
Could have been anything from illegal aliens to Crips/Bloods to skinhead neo-nazis.
Things are getting way out of hand.
Firstly, no mention is made of the range at which shots were exchanged.
Secondly, having now seen several of these shoot-outs on the various TV cop shows, one is struck by the mayhem and utter panic which pervades them. Everyone is jumping, running, moving and yelling and firing a gun at the same time. Occasionally they get lucky and wing someone.
I don't know that this situation is ever truly reproduced on the range. It's one thing to shoot at a target but quite another when the target is shooting back.
The movies have a lot to answer for. It all seems so easy for "Dirty Harry".
Thanks for the ping Calpernia.

And once in a while some innocent bystander takes a hit from the cops in these shootouts. Whatever happened to taking aim, then firing?
I remember that famous bank robbery shootout in LA. Hundreds of rounds were fired before anyone hit anything. I learned how to shoot from my dad. He told me that if I was ever in a situation where I was exchanging gunfire with someone else that I should slow down, aim, then fire for effect. The other guy probably wouldn't be doing that.
On the range or in the field, aiming is fundamental, whatever the range.
That LA bank robbery shootout could have been handled by one cop with his AR-15. If that cop moved off 50 yards, presented a small profile, then aimed and fired, the whole thing would have been over much more quickly.
Street shootouts are just stupid. The minute they start, the cops should take up sniper positions and end the situation as quickly as possible. As far as I know, all the LAPD cars have a semi-auto rifle or carbine in the trunk.
Sorry, but I'm not buying it.
There were Crips and Bloods operating in Pasadena a few years back.
Ah, the joys of northwest Pasadena. Was Blood territory, now with competition from 18th street, but I understand that King's village is still dominated by the bloods.
The area is gentrifying, so outside of the project, you have a bunch of yuppies cowering inside of their "carpenter craftsman" bungalows.
Pasadena?? Good grief.
If you recall, Harry participated in combat pistol competition matches. That would tend to hone one's shooting skills. Most cops don't even bother to practice, let alone develop competitive shooting skills.
