Hanoi Jane Rides Again
The National Ledger ^ | April 6, 2005 | Michelle Malkin

Posted on 04/05/2005 10:13:11 PM PDT by Coastal

Jane Fonda just won't shut up. And her crocodile tears will not stop flowing. She has contracted an acute case of Aging Celebrity Hippie Syndrome -- and it's going to land her tell-all memoir on The New York Times best-seller list in no time.

There she is on "60 Minutes," simpering about her failed relationship with her stoic father.

There she is in the Washington Post, detailing her past bouts with bulimia and lingering body image problems. (Which haven't damaged her enough to prevent her from posing for publicity photos: "Oh, God! Side lighting is not so good for me," the suffering Fonda orders the photographer.)

She must be out of work. Sorta like Richard Gere. It's all about the money with these jerks.

We can take joy from the observation that she has become a whithered, aged, and sexless remnant of her her formerly brainless self. How she wasted her life. With the privilige she enjoyed, she could have contributed. But no, she lived to scratch her itches, and she scratches still.

Jane Fonda said in 1988: "I would like to say something, not just to Vietnam veterans in New England, but to men who were in Vietnam, who I hurt, or whose pain I caused to deepen because of things that I said or did," she began. "I was trying to help end the killing and the war, but there were times when I was thoughtless and careless about it and I'm...very sorry that I hurt them. And I want to apologize to them and their families."

Having been forgiven by God for my own sins, I have nothing but respect for Jane Fonda for humbling herself enough to ask forgiveness from mere mortals who mostly seem to have very cold hearts.

I respect all of Michelle Malkin writings. Michelle says it like it is and this piece is no exception.

I will never forget or forgive Fonda's trip to Vietnam. Nor will I forgive Kerry for his lying and cheating. Nor will I forget the lies the media told. Someday, soon, all this will come to light. Thanks to the internet and bloggers.

But most of all, thanks to Jim Robinson and FreeRepublic.

You make your bed, you sleep in it. Mere mortals don't have to forgive.

I love Michelle Malkin's writing but next time please don't post from a page that roaches are running around the page.

It was just nasty, and trying to read while roaches were running around on the page just gave me the creeps.

The cold hearts are the dead soldiers she betrayed. The men that fought to save a country from tyranny that she helped betrayed, and helped make the rise of Pol Pot and the murder of 3 million Cambodians possible! She is a liar and a traitor, and now and only now replenting to cooinside with a book tour after 30 years! Don't let your faith make you a gullible sap to a Hollywood actor! Their lines are never sincere!

In typical lying-leftist fashion she "apologizes" for the "lapse" of being photographed on the anti-aircraft gun but does not mention the hours and hours of radio programming she gave the enemy. And in typical lying-leftist fashion, the media gives her a pass.

"I have nothing but respect for Jane Fonda for humbling herself enough to ask forgiveness from mere mortals who mostly seem to have very cold hearts."

Sorry. No Sale.

Please remember that when she made that statement, she was in the middle of making a new movie and protesters had complained that the set should be moved/shut down.

Her statement was a cynical ploy to deflect bad publicity.

Sorry to be such a sceptic, but I would look askance at even a death bed conversion from her.

Regards,

Jane Fonda is SUCH ruined goods. Once she has made her apology, then she should shut up about it. Or DON'T ever apologize again, and shut up about it. Just SHUT UP about it.

Either way, no apology is good enough.

As long as she SHUTS UP about it.

Jane Fondo should just accept the fact that she is an AINO - American in Name Only.
