Right, I would want people to make as much noise as possible so as to disturb other patients at the hospice. I would want news crews and protesters rooming the halls. I would not want any peace and quiet. < /sarcasm>
A feeding tube does not quench your thirst. A feeding tube does not assuage your hunger.
I am not in the habit of reacting to emotion and fear. I have been close to death several times myself. I am not unfamiliar with the situation. I was with my late wife when she died, mainly from starvation and thirst due to a cancer. Sheryl was lucid at times the last few days and we discussed what was happening.

Sorry about your wife, but her condition was different then Terri's. Terri was not dying of cancer. Terri was not dying period until she was denied hydration and nutrition.

Sorry you don't see any difference.

Thank you for putting up with the nonsense purveyed here on this issue. My late wife also died of cancer and while she didn't die of starvation or dehydration (that I know of), she didn't eat or drink for the last two weeks. She was hydrated with an IV which carried the painkillers, but you are correct, that doesn't affect thirst. She just didn't have any.

It is odd; that had never occurred to me despite the nonsense perpetuated here for the last two weeks.
