These are not claims. For those of us who study the history of Christianity it is common knowledge, but I am sure you knew that.Hardly.

I have studied history my entire life and have found most such claims to be totally bogus.

Most "forced conversions" by the way, were perpetrated by nominal Christian tyrant kings who wanted the unifying power of a single religion among their people. Of course, that was in fashion until about the 11th century.

And the charge that Christianity has, at any time, hindered scientific progress is absurd on it's face. Or maybe it's just an accident that the overwhelming amount of scientific progress in world history has been achieved in western Christendom over the past thousand years.

Yup.

And, it's been rightly postulated, imho,

that apart from the Judeo/Christian values and paradigm, the scientific method would not have developed.

It required a concept of reality and a God that could be objectively studied--that there were RIGHT and WRONG ways to do things to reach certain goals.
