That IS where they got us...between the bad lawyering and that ruling, I don't know how we could work around it.
Terri was abused? So what? She didn't want to live in this condition, so we have to let her die ASAP.
That's what every complaint about mistreatment or wrongdoing to Terri comes down to. Even potential corruption in the area with guardianship rulings and stuff don't matter, cause they ruled Terri wanted to die.
All these other things are separate issues.
The Schindlers think Terri wasn't allowed her religious rights? Maybe they can sue the hospice and/or MS, but it'll have to be separate from the right to die stuff.
Lots of darkness here. Legal but not necessarily just. Very clever, and a trap people need to watch out for.
I keep thinking too how unfair it is that Terri was 3 votes away from having the law changed in FL and that is all we really needed here.
To a certanty, not just, and not moral. But fully embraced and defended by the judicial system. My take is that the the justice system just cut out its own foundation.
