He was picked up this morning in Johnson County, and that is where the body was located as well. Johnson Co. is just south of Cedar Rapids.

If they have known him so long they must of known what he was. Why would they allow him around their children.

What's the big deal? This happens all the time. The judicial system lets these people loose on the streets. You can't do anything about it. The courts run America. The president and Congress might as well go home. /frustration off

B@st@rd! These things seldom end well.
Prayers for that poor little girl and her family.
Yet another horrific family tragedy.

"My son said he saw my daughter in the truck...she has permission because because we've known him so long. I got back at 8:30 and she was gone." Didn't they know he was a registered sex offender? Sounds like this has happened before if she had "permission" to go with him places.
I'm not sure who makes me madder, the courts for not putting these monsters away for good, or an irresponsible parent who would let their child go off with one.
So sad.

Good thing liberals are making sure all these children learn to tolerate everyone's sexual orientation.

Police located 37-year-old Roger Paul Bentley in Johnson County this morning. He is in custody but has not been charged. What is it with these guys with three names.
To: JCRoberts
Arrest the parents for Child Neglect. If you are going to be so irresponsible as to let a sex offender that much contact with your child you are guilty as well.

It most certainly is tragic. Sex offenses ought to result in automatic death after conviction imo. Yes DNA to make absolutely sure. There are way too many of them murdering our kids.

This is so sad. Why so much evil during Holy Week? Are the demons working overtime?

And will continue to have more of these days until we demand that our leaders enact legislation that protects many. Not simply grandstanding for the cameras and the delusion of helping.

I don't mean to be mean, but where was mom until 8:30, and how old was the son who was left in charge of his sister? Sadly, parents even in rural areas are not immune to becoming prey for such reprobates.
This man should never see the light of day again. Let us hope the law serves the public this time.
