THE MINNESOTA SCHOOL SHOOTING AND THE RACE CARD...AGAIN!
By Michelle Malkin · March 25, 2005 10:01 AM
A few days ago, I noted that some ethnic grievance-mongers were griping that there wasn't enough coverage of the Minnesota school shootings because many of the victims were Native American.
The race card-playing continues in the Friday A section of the Washington Post, under the eye-roll-inducing headline: Native Americans Criticize Bush's Silence
Ceci Connolly writes: MINNEAPOLIS, March 24 -- Native Americans across the country -- including tribal leaders, academics and rank-and-file tribe members -- voiced anger and frustration Thursday that President Bush has responded to the second-deadliest school shooting in U.S. history with silence.
Kneel, kneel, before the gods of political correctness, oh, Great White Father in Washington! The Post article echoes a somewhat similar piece in Thursday's Los Angeles Times, which pounds the Bush administration for its pro-Second Amendment stance and for saying little about the school shooting compared to the Schiavo case. The Times piece quotes one hyperbolic anti-gun activist clearly a little too happy to be back in business: "The bottom line is the gun lobby is too important a constituency to the Republican Party for them to do anything," said Kristen Rand, legislative director of the Violence Policy Center, a group that advocates gun control. "The sad reality is if Terri Schiavo had been shot, the administration would not have lifted a finger to help her." Both newspapers, by the way, fondly reminisce about Bill Clinton's lip-biting eagerness to jump on the anti-gun bandwagon after the Columbine shootings. See, Clinton wasn't trying to politicize a tragedy. He Cared.

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)
Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.
Terri Schiavo
There! I've said it. Now no one else has to mention it on a totally unrelated thread.
Indian reservations like Red Lake are sovereign states. So why would President Bush say anything about it?
but the so-called Great White Father in Washington hasn't said or done a thing," said Clyde Bellecourt
The Great White Father?!?!
Do you want the head white guy to come wipe your butt for you too, you needy little sponge?
Have a little pride for godsakes.
Terri Schiavo There! I've said it. Now no one else has to mention it on a totally unrelated thread.
You didnt read the article. Shes already in it.
I wonder who they would blame it on if he'd have used a bow and arrows, a spear and a tomahawk? He might have killed fewer ,but they would be just as dead.
Michelle looks better with straight hair. Just thought I'd add that.
You are right, I didn't. I was in too big a hurry trying to make a smart ass point.
She is mentioned in many threads that have nothing to do with her though.
Wonder why Clyde Bellecourt is using his European slave-master name instead of his authentic Native American name...
The media is almost ignoring this news story........... it must be Bush's fault!
On a side note, this shooter took SSRI anti-depressants and he was a drug user. Phil Hartman's wife took SSRI anti-depressants and had cocaine in her system when she killed him. I think this is another story that should get some publicity. No, I am not trying to deflect blame. But, SSRI's have side effects and they should not be given to kids.
He 's the guy who started the complaints about Indian names for sports teams in the 1980's, then complained about the Tomahawk chop in the 1991 World Series.
He's an Indian version of Jesse Jackson.
Ceci Connelly should be ashamed.
Where's Indian leader Ward Churchill's take on this ?
You're point was correct, just the wrong thread to make it on! 8-)
The media is almost ignoring this news story
The gun used belong to a law enforcement officer (his grandfather) and the school security guard who might have been able to stop him was unarmed by law.
Those two points shoot the gun control theories to pieces. Thats why it dropped unnoticed from the media soapboxes.
I have no doubt that he's working on it. He has a tough job though....first, he needs to find someone else's writing on the matter to steal and then call his own, then he needs to find some related artwork done by someone else which he can steal, reverse-photocopy and call his own, and then he needs to tie that in to The Evil Bush Administration (T.E.B.A.) which shouldn't be so hard, as this is one of the themes that Michelle Malkin is discussing today and he can merely lift paragraphs from some of her linked articles....how convenient!
Ceci Connelly disgusts me. In the moment of terrible tragedy, she blames Bush.
They're not really sovereign states in the sense of being foreign. They're sovereign in the sense of being under their own laws and councils, as opposed to those of the state in which they sit.

Unrelated?
You sure?
Just what part of:
<< Response to School Shooting Is Contrasted With President's Intervention in [Terri] Schiavo Case >>
Are you having the most difficulty with?
