If he don't show some courage soon, his political career is over. IMHO

People will remember him getting on TV saying what he did and then doing nothing if he fails to act now to save Terri’s life. He will never win another election in Florida; much less a national election if he doesn't act after having a press conference saying he can take her into protective custody based on Florida's laws. If he wasn't going to act he never should have had that press conference. The decision is up to him now, act now to save her life, like he implied Wednesday that he was going to do, or live with it for the rest of his life.

I was very involved campaigning with the Republican party since Ronald Reagan. Maybe my views will change in the future, but today I feel dead to the Republican party. I had put my hope and trust in them to care about the sanctity of life, but now when, after all their speeches and rhetoric, I see they are helpless and not brave enough to stand up to defend one handicapped woman. If they cannot stand up for one person who is defenseless, how can we ever expect them to stand up for the issues of life in the courts?

Today is Good Friday. The day everyone but a few turned their backs on Jesus. Friends, followers, respected Religious Leaders, Country stayed in their homes and concluded one life wasn't worth the fight. This is a test for this nation and we have failed.

Today, I no longer will say I am a Republican. I won't be affiliated with this group who by their actions have turned their backs on what Jesus name, "If you do this to the least of me, you have done it unto Me." I know that the Democrats must be thrilled but for me now I clearly understand that we can not put our hope in anything but Christ. Republican leaders have exposed their true selves, they are more concerned about the polls than human life.
