...the next pubbie fund raiser that calls for a donationThe really ironic twist to this is that they'll ask us to give, to demonstrate, to vote "in memory of Terri." She'll make the perfect martyr to the cause of judicial activism.

She has electrodes in her brain. They can't do an MRI.
True. Know why? Her doctors asked that they be removed so as to allow for an MRI to be performed. Michael refused and insisted that they stay in place. This is a corroborated fact.

MS aka "The Beast" was just represented by his lawyer felos on fox and friends with e.d. hill, probably the dumbest of the three co-hosts, asking the questions. You gotta believe the only way felos would be interviewed is by a weakling like e.d. He won't be facing Hannity any time soon you can bet.
Of course she let him off with mostly a pass. He lied all the way through. When it came time to answer why he didn't divorce Terri it was a major barf alert to hear how "MS the Beast" cares so "deeply" for her. I was immediately reminded of the Clintonista days. This whole thing wreaks with legal terrorism.

Why this pathological zeal of Michael and Judge Greer to kill this woman is beyond any reasonable comprehension - it's just sick. They hate women, they hate the disabled. And Terri is a disabled woman. Add to that the fact that Michael has the classic abusive personality, and right now, he's getting the validation every abuser craves--there's no way he's going to do the right thing.
Glenn Beck postulated yesterday that Michael's fiancée might be afraid of him right now. I had never considered that possibility. I do think that her life is about to get very bad--without being able to torment the Schindlers any more, his attention is going to turn on Jody.

The only fault with your post is Terri has never had natural light in her room. One of Michael's standing orders is to the blinds in her room are to be drawn; no cards; not flowers; no letters; no radio; no television, and no visitors - including her priest - unless he gives specific permission, and such visitations are to be supervised by the guard.

A close friend of Terri's who knew her before she had the heart attack told of how they (Terri and MS) had a huge fight shortly before, with talk of Terri going to possibly live elsewhere and getting a divorce.
As this thing progresses and the truth comes out, it shows a viscous side of MS,the Beast, which is confirmed by other of his gal/pals.

Terri's life is not the life we would want for her - but it's the only life she has.
^^^^^
A very thoughtful post. She was living with a severe disability, not being prevented from dying as the 'pull the tube'; people would have us believe.
I think that a person who can survive the horror of her past five years in that hospice/prison, has a very strong will to live.
PS: There is no need to 'pull' a feeding tube from a dying person who is no longer being given nourishment. It can be done postmortem, Pulling her tube was active euthanasia.

At best many of these politicians do not care, some - such as Judge Greer - might get a thrill from this or they simply want to eliminate the disabled. In a case where a wife wanted her husband to live, Judge Greer ordered him killed (I believe this was in 2000).
Look at Ted Kennedy: even after Mary Jo he was reelected to the Senate, albeit it did kill his presidential chances. Seems there are quite a few sociopaths among our politicians.

I cannot believe that one judge has condemned her to death based on hearsay evidence. A lot of people will use the tired old "19 judges agree" line, but 18 of those judges only ruled on judge Greer's ruling and never looked at the evidence. In fact many of the rulings of other judges were that they would not look at any other evidence.

It is now up to each one of us to spell out, via a so-called "living will", that should we become incapacitated, our legal guardian NOT be allowed to starve us to death or to deny us water. Make sure you don't use the model forms. You have the right idea about spelling it out. Define every term in the four corners of the living will, otherwise the legal system will impose it's own meaning on "terms of art."
(10) "Life-prolonging procedure" means any medical procedure, treatment, or intervention, including artificially provided sustenance and hydration ...
That is in the definition section of the Florida statutes, and the same phrase appears in the body of the model form of the living will.
Chapter 765, Florida Statutes 2004 <-- Definitions near the top; model form at 765.303

I only want some real evidence of Terri's wishes beyond because her husband says so.Years and years ago, I was in a situation where I was yelling, "God help me, I'm going to die!" not once, but many times. My husband swears that I yelled, "I WANT to die!" I also yelled, "No, I don't want to do this, I changed my mind!" (At the time, no one took me seriously. In due course, I popped out a healthy baby boy without complication.)
Apparently, in Judge Greer's court, that statement about dying--disputed as it is, made under difficult circumstances--is enough to condemn me to death. What a wonderful judge.

Question..what would happen in the following scenario..the judeg somehow orders the feeding tube reinstated, but she goes into cardiac arrest because of the prolonged starvation/dehydration..are they allowed to resuscitate her..?

Here's another slogan: A husband has a right to determine a wife's fate. A common misconception, foisted I think by those who want to contine the practice that Terri is being subjected to, is that somehow another person makes our medical choices for us. They don't. We make our own choices. All of the legal procedure in this case reflects "Carrying or Terri's wishes." I am firmly convinced the law got it wrong, and is acting directly contrary to Terri's wishes, but that is another discussion.

The Bush Brothers are talking the talk, but thats about it.They have both done what can be done legally. You don't really want the governor or president to send in federal agents with guns and tanks, do you? Did you approve of that use of power at Waco?
