There are few people that I would even give a second thought to hating, it's just not worth the effort or time to think about them...I can not imagine the effort that Michael is going through to ensure she dies, and the awful things I can imagine he says when he's alone with her....I don't want to start a theological debate...but I wonder--once you sell your soul is it redeemable? (or is that one of those, Can God create something so heavy he can't lift it questions?) I know of no one besdies King Saul that it is indicated that the Spirit departed. I wonder if it's even possible for the evil three to repent?
*musing and feeling hopeless about this battle, but not the war*
Terri's family offered Michael everything they had, and everything they hoped to have, if he would just let her go. Only God knows if he will be redeemed. I've often thought of his children and their lifetime burden when they learn their daddy killed his wife.
It is my understanding that the only unforgivable sin in heresy..i.e. consorting with the devil..
and it is also my understanding that one only gets forgiveness if one truly repents and asks God for forgiveness sincerely..
God can see into all hearts and souls, and judges accordingly..
That's the beauty of Easter...we are all redeemable. God sees all of us even worse than we're seeing Michael right now...he knows what's in the human heart and what we're capable of. That's sin. Paul was a murderer...and he murdered Christians. He was redeemed and mightily used. As the Bible says, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. No one is beyond redemption according to scripture, because once we accept Christ's sacrifice for us, our spirit is reborn...we are a NEW creature, the old is passed away. No one in their present sinful state is in safe waters...but Jesus said that once we accept him we pass from death into life. If Michael came to Christ he would be a new person...and that would be the person Jesus would be dealing with.
