In this fight we have seen some Freepers act like the worst scum on DU.. we have seen atheists and Democrats rise up to the challenge of preserving life.. we have seen "christians" call out for an innocent woman's death.. and we have seen who are politicians and who are human beings.. all my illusions have tumbled this week.. the hardest has been watching people of my own political party, people supposedly of my own faith, serve themselves first, cover their collective arses with empty words.. bow down to evil incarnate.. I will never be the same.. I too am leaving the party.. I don't think I'll join another one.. or bother voting.. if we end up with the same crap in the end.. one just gets there slower than the other..

Right now I couldn't agree with you more. This "event" has shocked me to my core. And I simply cannot comprehend how some people are perfectly content with Terri's torture. They cannot see what is so obvious to us here. This is evil and WRONG and MS is using every dirty underhanded trick in the book to rub the Schindler's noses in the mud - while he's being backed by filthy hacks in kangaroo courts.
Meanwhile, many sit and laugh and tease like this couldn't happen to them or their loved ones.
Maybe this is a portent of worse things to come... God help us all.
