That was judicial activism, and it is exactly what you described.I just pointed out Judge Greer was the one engaged in judicial activism. Moves in contra to it could be considered against judicial activism.

Following the letter of the law, and not taking action contrary to the law based on the fact that the Judge considers the law to be a "bad" law is Judicial activism?
