Would he consult with another judge if he found something that troubled him about this case? Not consult greer but maybe another federal judge?

I'm not sure what the protocol is regarding whom judges can consult. If this judge is SINCERELY troubled by something in this case, it's unlikely he'd consult with Greer on account of the obvious conflict of interest.
