I'm a little scared we don't have contingency plans in place for this kind of event. Good thing I have a bible as I have no faith in the federal government.

If you have ever done any work with or for the Federal Government, you will know that it is the most incompetent organization in existence.

When people started preventing oil exploration in the U.S. and went along with the enviros, this was bound to happen. The Islamofascist control us by our dependence on their oil. Thank You Dumocrats.

The petro-centric Bush Administration only considers military options.
They have deflected serious discussion of petro-dependency with exagerated hype about the junk-science "hydrogen economy" while stonewalling obvious remedies such as construction of electricly powered mass-transit systems in our nation's most densely populated regions and urban areas. They have focused primarily on increasing our dependency on foreign oil through trade, and now we're going to be screwed by that myopia.

We do. It's called corn. Subsidized and expensive to produce, sure, but it's "our own" and at least no one but red-state Americans with traditional values would be holding us "over a barrel". Flame away.

You should measure religion against a higher standard. Spongebob Squarepants has more credibility than the government.
