The AP reporter Valerie Bauman told me her article would be balanced and put on the wire to all southern papers.

Changing the words should not happen, but the paper's editor could shorten it.

You also have to be careful of whether it credits AP or says "with AP". "With AP" means they wrote part of it and included some AP input.

The format for AP email addresses is first letter of first name, followed by the last name and then "@ap.org"
