Just signed it. I don't know whether it will do any good as I am in Colorado, but what the heck?! Still a statement worth making.

Yes, they're frothing at mouth. The tag team is out in force too. Baiting Terri's supporters in an attempt to get them banned or suspended. They get a kick out of tormenting people who care. While they're not capable of caring, they are aware of the fact that humane people are suffering today, and at our most vulnerable. They'll take advantage of that, like they did in October 2003. They take no pleasure in being kind to the injured. They take pleasure in kicking the injured. They're dancing with the devil tonight, but they have an unpleasant surprise in their futures.

Haranguing Terri's supporters like demons tormenting the souls in Hell, eh?

Nope.
No parallels there....;)

FL is liberal with its death penalty.
I suspect that makes him nervous.

For all we know, she may very well be making much more "coherent" noises lately.
He may be in more of hurry than ever to permanently shut her up.
Since cameras are no longer allowed near her, *we* will never know what's really going on.

Then answer this hypothetical question;

What if her entire frontal lobe [the "master lobe" responsible for "who we are"/thought/comprehension/self-expression] were nothing but dead scar tissue and spinal fluid and there was absolutely no chance that it would ever "regenerate"?

Would you consider her "alive" or "brain dead"?

Wouldn't the judge and everyone who is doing this be in contempt of Congress?
Don't give up. She is still alive and this isn't the first time her feeding tube has been removed.
I'm praying she has a miraculous healing. I'm asking the Lord to touch her in a mighty way and heal her body.

The most fundamental right is the right to life. Without life, none of the other rights we enjoy do us much good.

The FIRST obligation of government is to protect the lives of the innocent. If government will not do that, it has no legitimacy.

Since the State of Florida, as represented by Judgenfuhrer Greer, has manifestly refused to do its duty to protect the most basic right of Terri Schiavo -- the right to life -- the Federal government has stepped in to fulfill that function and to protect her rights. Protecting individual rights is the cornerstone of our system.

BTW, I heard Randall Terry on the radio and he said that he and the family and their lawyer were in teh room with Terri. The lawyer leaned over and said to Terri, "If you'd just say 'I want to live' this would all be over."

Well, according to Randall, Terri said "Iiiiii waaaaaaaa-" at which point the hospital staff burst in (I later heard it said that the police came in) and they forcibly removed the lawyer and told the Schiavos to leave.

If this is true, it just adds to the despicable nature of this shameful affair.

Someone tried to explain to Boortz today that the pulling of Shiavo's feeding tube was tantamount to the Nazi's killing of the "undesirables." The caller's point was not that Boortz was a Nazi, but rather than his thinking was congruent with Hitler's on this matter. Why Boortz, who is quite sapient, can't see this point I'll never know. One has to watch the so-called libertarian logic on such matters.

It seems the right to kill is stronger now than the right to live. What has happened to America?

I'm a libertarian, and although I like a lot of what else Boortz has to say, IMO he's full of crap on this issue and totally wrong.

And please don't assume that Boortz's opinion is some sort of "official" libertarian line or anything of the sort. None of the other libertarians whom I know personally is in favor of murdering this woman.

It is true that libertarians are generally in favor of separating medicine and state, just as we generally favor getting the government out of a lot of other things. But there is nothing in libertarian philosophy which would call for murdering Terri Schindler-Schiavo.

In this case, I would favor getting several thousand people to pledge a few bucks per month toward the costs of getting Terri rehabilitated, because, even though several rehab specialists have offered to treat Terri free of charge, the kind of care she will require will cost some $$.

Desperate times require desperate measures? This really is insane, I remember growing up, there was one or two completely incapacitated people in the family , but they were taken care of, it was just accepted, no one ever really went to courts to try and kill them. I will always say that Terri's husband has something to hide, to try and force this the way he has, completely disregarding a family in anguish is wrong at it's very core. I think he would be first on my list if I was Terris dad. Strictly hypothetically speaking of course ; )

Guess Jerry Lewis was just wasting his time all these
years trying to help kids with MD.

Some one should be kind and considerate and clue him in.

I don't understand all this he said she said - why not
do a Solomon and send her to the Mayo Clinic, Walter Reed
Hospital or Scripps.

If completely neutral specialists
say she is "dead" then let Michael give her a one time
injection. After all, he is a nurse - remember! He
became a nurse so that he could take care of Terri for
the rest of her life once the malpractice award was
received.

Savage was *GREAT*! His show was AMAZING! I had stopped listening to Savage Nation about a year ago. He always struck me as having a twisted personal reality. But his show on Terri Schiavo was 'Spot On,' as the Brits would say. He hit the target again and again. I think that perhaps I may start listening to Savage more often.

On the other hand, the Laura Ingraham Show was really disappointing. I vaguely recall her from when I was living near Los Angeles. She was vaguely acerbic then, she is downright grating today. She really believes she is targeting to her 'perceived audience.' Which means people stuck in freeway gridlocked autos desperate for distraction. Why does she try so hard to be funny? Does she really believe that she has real comedic talent? What is it with this woman?

Compromise happened. Every time a conservative votes for a "moderate" in order to win an election, the center point is pushed left. Every time a conservative congressman horse trades away another personal freedom or right in order to be "bipartisan," we become less free. Every time we allow an illegal immigrant to drop a baby into our country in order to have a cheaper housekeeper, we lose a vote and a job. Every time congress fails to cut spending in order to avoid criticism, we sink further into debt. Every time we remain silent in order to be politically correct, our culture rots a little.
