Is this the guy that threw the HUGE bithday party for his wife on some remote carribean island, all on the company dole with male and female strippers running around in toga's?
Or was that Enron?

Yeah, my s-i-l bitterly joked that, after Ebber's got done, her 401K was more like on 001K.

It is always nice to hear of a little justice being served up to one so deserving!
After the appeals etc he will probably get off with less than 10 years of time. But hopefully that equates to the balance of his life. It would be nice to see him behind bars before Bush is out of office.

I may be mistaken, but when you are found guilty in a court of law, you are taken-out of the courtroom through the side door.

Seize *all* of his assets and return them to the stockholders who were screwed by Worldcom's forged balance sheets and false promises of dividend payments.

Neither, it was the Greedy (Not to mention monumentally tasteless) Kozlowski of Tyco. There are so many of these creeps out there it's hard to keep them straight without a Program.

Michael Millken is out and about and actually got
to keep a lot of ill gotten lucre.

It couldn't be anything but 'Real'. MCI went into Bankruptcy and emerged. In the process all existing Equity was extinguished - Valueless except for the paper the shares were printed on.

I don't think I've ever heard of the federal government losing a case that it prosecuted, if so it is very rare. The penalties are so severe for federal crimes that any accused "accomplices" do a plea bargain and say whatever the government wants them to say.

Good news to a lot of people I see. Unfortunately it won't put lost investments back in their pockets though. How has the loss of MCI affected the Clinton area WKB? I know it was a huge employer.

Speaking of big fish. How much more money has the federal government spent without veto since 2000?
