What really gets me is the fact that people will still believe that American soldiers targeted this vehicle on purpose, even with Italian authorities telling them different.

The media, especially overseas, has long operated with the desire to convince as many people as possible that U.S. soldiers kill at random and specifically target women, children, and innocent bystanders. They have succeeded in brainwashing an awful lot of people, especially in Europe.

Hell, they've even changed the definition of "torture" to make us look bad. How many people in Europe and Asia have inaccurate pictures in their minds of American soldiers giving shock treatments and fingernail removals to prisoners because of the abuse of the word "torture" by the World Press?

Of course, these aforementioned things are exactly what the Muslim terrorists do, but they are always presented (just like with Israel and the Palestinians) as victims forced into such things by the U.S. aggressors.

I think it's time we started treating the World Press as legitimate enemy targets.

Italy's government doesn't have a good acquaintanceship with the truth...Berlusconi is no exception to a long tradition. In fact one of the reasons he's been so successful is that he's better at lying than his rivals or predecessors. Politicians everywhere do it, but Italy has taken it further.
