As I said in my previous post, political correctness reigns supreme. Several people here in the SF Bay Area recently died in a fire for this very same reason. A female affirmative action hire didn't have the upper body strength to handle the equipment, so three lives were sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. These incidents will continue until liberalism no longer exists.
For crying out loud we don't even know that it was the female whose gun was taken!!!
In fact, the way the conversations are going on Fox, they seem to be assuming it was the male (which makes sense because the perp was ALONE with the deputy in a side room).
And NOW, it turns out, that the sheriff's deputy who was overpowered and stripped of a duty weapon, was a FEMALE.
Can't blame her, but we CAN blame political correctness and lack of basic comon sense RUN AMOK for a woman to be ALLOWED to guard, alone, a 6'1" 200 lb male, accused of a violent crime of rape, AND that was just caught the other day with a handmade knife of some sort. Un-f'ing-believable!
It is helpful, in police and corrections work, to have some size, strength, and a commanding presence, with which to intimidate those who might be considering using force to escape, kill, etc. Apparently, the female deputy did NOT have what was necessary to do her job, IF that job entailed escorting much larger, and stronger male inmates.
Again, not blaming her, but I AM blaming the feminazi movement, left-wing media and politicians, liberal ACLU and other ambulance-chasing groups, and others that have foisted affirmative-action for women in jobs that are almost always MUCH better suited for men (law enforcement, combat MOS' in the military, etc.).
There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse, other than fears of being labeled sexist, fears of lawsuits by left-wing lawyers, and just out-and-out incompetence in the leadership of Fulton county (civilian leaders and sheriff's dept. officials), for a female officer to be alone with a male suspect.
Those responsible for the decisions that put that female deputy in that position, have a lot to answer for, and have the blood of 3 people (and possibly more) on their hands.
