Hallo Skeggs

Here are some links about the Boeing that went missing.

From TM thread 1, an article saying it's been found, with discussion in nearby posts

The link to the original article in the post above

Elsewhere on FR, a dedicated thread
"Hide in Plane Sight (Authorities fear Boeing 727 stolen in Angola may be used in terrorism)"

From the PPRUNE Forum - a long and detailed thread called "727 stolen from Angola"
It used to have a picture of the plane's tanker modifications on page 9 but it doesn't seem to be there now :(

This article from the St. Petersburg Times dated 24 Oct 04 has it as still missing:
"Out of Africa, into thin air: A jet vanishes"

thanks for the total indepth set of links.

so basically we could have a huge improvised destructive plane, with more than a pipebomb on it. very sobering, i dont know why its been swept under the carpet, you dont lose planes every day. Unless David copperfield is in town.

Not exactly a cropduster..

is it me or has the intensity level lately gone up a notch?? I need a drink.

Yah, I remember these. Also remember they were never found. Wonder if they came down in a controlled fashion or not? Not every aircraft that goes missing is hijacked, although these post 911 days, I wouldn't want to bet my life on the matter. Good catch.
