Re: "What does this mean?"
It is a quote from the Bible, one of the books on Wisdom. Speaking about friendship it points out a friend will forgive you if you cuss him out but not a stab in the back.
My state affiliation is only material in matters of who gets to vote but your point is monumentally irrelevant on a matter of free speech. People all over the country get involved in elections involving Congress (much more involved than a few comments on the internet). Pundits comment in Washington and NYC on events on PA and Virginia and elsewhere. You got a problem with that!!
Re: "I'd never heard of Tummey before he ran against Specter."
Sorry I can't help you with that little problem. I myself heard about him years ago. It seems he entered the national scene back in the 80's during Reagan. Like I said I can't help you if you never heard about him.
Re: "I'm not sure what part of the base you're from?"
Prolife and pro rule of law base.

Well did you ever consider Santorum and Specter's friendship?
And I don't think you can prove that Tummey was on the national scene in the 80's but I'll check.

"Prolife and pro rule of law base."
Well if you can point out one Senator who is a better advocate for the Pro-Life cause, I'd like to see them?
For your information Pat Toomey was first elected to congress in 1999.
Before that he was in the restaurant business.
Since you say he came on the national scene in the 80' perhaps you ate one of his cheeseburgers?
