Dem Hoping Iran and North Korea Blow Up In Our Faces
RedStateRant ^ | March 2, 2005 | bloggerhoss

James Taranto, in his Best of the Web feature today, posts a TiVo-enabled transcript of Nancy Soderbergh (former Clinton aide) talking to Jon Stewart on Comedy Central's The Daily Show. On the subject of the obvious relationship between Bush policy in Iraq and the Jan. 30 elections there,

Soderberg: It's scary for Democrats, I have to say.

Stewart: He's gonna be a great--pretty soon, Republicans are gonna be like, "Reagan was nothing compared to this guy." Like, my kid's gonna go to a high school named after him, I just know it.

Soderberg: Well, there's still Iran and North Korea, don't forget. There's hope for the rest of us.

Stewart: [crossing fingers] Iran and North Korea, that's true, that is true [audience laughter]. No, it's--it is--I absolutely agree with you, this is--this is the most difficult thing for me to--because, I think, I don't care for the tactics, I don't care for this, the weird arrogance, the setting up. But I gotta say, I haven't seen results like this ever in that region.

Soderberg: Well wait. It hasn't actually gotten very far. I mean, we've had--

Stewart: Oh, I'm shallow! I'm very shallow!

Soderberg: There's always hope that this might not work.

To be fair, she did earlier qualify her "hope that this might not work" by admitting "as an American, you hope good things would happen." But it underscores the moral dilemma faced by the Bush-hating left.

I do not understand why they are wishing so hard for foreign policy failure, we had plenty of it during the 8 years Clinton was in office.

A fine example of two leftists having a moment of pure honesty!

It will repeat tonight at 6:00pm central standard time for those of you who wish to watch it. The dummies over at DU are mad at Johnny boy, saying he has gone over to the dark side.

You have GOT to read this. It confirms just what Rush Limbaugh has been saying: Good news for America is bad news for Democrats.

"Good news for America is bad news for Democrats."

I don't think that there is any doubt in my mind about this. This thinking is definitely a manifestation of mental illness.

I've sent this to most of my address book. Let the people see just what the left are reduced to hoping for.

Those guys hit moral bedrock looonnnggg ago and did not survive the crash. All this sour grapes that President Bush has endured since his successes abroad and his re election can be explained by the complete and permanent moral bankruptcy of the Liberals.

I really don't think the left cares about that. They only want a return to power. Period. Nevermind if it's a return to power over a country shattered by a nuke strike.

The adversity and hate that President Bush stood up against in his fight to protect all the people of America is amazing. If thing keep rolling in the Mid-East, Bush’s story will be told for many generation. His life will be presented as an ideal for all of us to strive to live up too.

They don't want NK or Iran to attack the United States, they just want NK to invade the south (killing all the American occupiers on the way), and Iran to nuke Israel (igniting an all out war in the middle east). That would be enough for them to celebrate about.

Bump. Taranto notes that Stewart made this fool ... look like a fool. Maybe he "gets it?"

This is truly pathetic. A perfect example of the self serving and the power hungry. People with this attitude need to be dressed up in florescent orange jumpsuits, given a loaded pistol, and air dropped on the other side of the DMZ. Oops! They are probably anti-gun so lets put a nix on the pistol.
