I can't take the celebrity worship...
I think I'm like a lot of folks, I just check in at the top of the hour to make sure the whole world isn't on fire, and then I move on with my life!

They must get good ratings when they go on and on about this stuff, though, or they wouldn't be producing it. Which begs the question--who is watching it?

LOL, yup! Sometimes it's more productive to mute the sound and just read the crawler at the bottom. They often crawl information that they never or barely talk about, sometimes you can get some interesting stuff off that.

Snugs, I'm always astounded to learn what captures British interest about America. Or, is it that your media is just following the hype and not all that many Brits actually care who wins the Oscars, but are force-fed it by your media?

On one of the afternoon FOX shows tonight they said something like 6 out of 10 Dims were going to watch the Oscars, but only 1 of 8 Reps. I don't know exactly what percentage that calculates out to (brain dead, I am!) but there's got to be some message there.
