"Mark Lunsford spent Wednesday night at a girlfriend's house. He came home sometime before 6 a.m. and heard his daughter's alarm going off. He changed his clothes to get ready for work, and checked to see why Jessica hadn't turned it off. She was gone. The front door was unlocked and there were no signs of forced entry.

HUH? Why doesn't that make sense?

1. Was the door already unlocked when he came home?
   
2. If so, why didn't he worry THEN? Or...
3. Did he come home and leave the door unlocked after him, which would seem like a normal action. And then only look in (allegedly) after he heard the clock?

I don't know, something just doesn't sound right to me.
Plus the dad has a Mullet, that's always a baaaad sign. A Mullet is usually indicative of a doper, drunk, ex-con, pervert, loser - or all of the aforementioned.

It doesn't make sense. I'm curious as to why the mother didn't have custody of this child. Usually, the mother gets automatic custody.

re: the alarm clock -- my daughter's alarm clock goes off for long periods of time because she's a heavy sleeper. I could go wake her up myself, but that doesn't teach her responsibility. Maybe the alarm clock going off for a long time is a normal thing in their house -- it is in mine.

I am forced to agree. There is no evidence of forced entry. The point where he comes home is where she is missing. Something hasn’t struck me right about him either. He’s been on TV crying without any tears.

I'd like to hear what the results of a background investigation and interview of "the girlfriend" are. What's the nature and length of the relationship and all. That Daddy gives me the heebee-geebee's when I saw him on the news. Came across in that TV interview and that little paragraph you quoted as a no-account.
