Kelly was a fool who made the wrong choice(s).

He is no hero.

Read his testimony here.

He had no business meeting with those reporters. I admit the man was operating with a conscious, evidently, since he saw fit to kill himself. I can only surmise he was overwhelmed with shame if not guilt.

Cyncooper -- I agree with you. Dr Kelly DID make the wrong choice in "meeting" with those hounding reporters. What I was referencing to was old Character Brit. Dishonor. There's a long line in British history concerning stalwart characters having made an eggregious misstep ending their own lives similarly to Dr. Kelly. The "pressies" abused his "ego". They knew exactly how to ply and play Dr. Kelly. And once he misstepped, they shoved his nose into it without mercy, without compassion, without discretion -- and all in their rabid pursuit of hankering PM Blair. And after Dr. Kelly's suicide, they, the pressies, hadn't even the decency of shame nor even conscience.

Can you tell I'm still angry about this?
