Last night, Hal spoke of his support for the theory that the temple was to the side of the dome of the rock. It's a theory with widespread support.

Biblical Archaeology Review ran an article discussing the conflicting theories about where the Holy of Holies was and based on that information, my bet is right inside the Dome of the Rock, unfortunately.

As a trivia note, the text on the Dome recognizes the virginity of Mary and that Jesus was the Messiah but disputes the fact that Jesus was the Son of God and also the Trinity.
