He was sentenced to the maximum 90 days, with 88 days suspended, and will serve the two days in jail after his treatment.

I wonder how many drunk drivers HE has lowered the gavel on and sent to the "salt mines" for incursions much less life threatening than his. (In their own vehicle to boot)

Sadly, I agree with you. But justice requires equal treatment under the law. As long as this is not the case, the fewer the laws, the less the possible injustice. This is part of the reason I hold the positions I do.
