LAKELAND, Fla. (BP)--On the fifth anniversary of Circuit Court Judge George Greer’s Feb. 11, 2000, order to remove Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube, Greer struck another blow to Robert and Mary Schindler’s efforts to keep their daughter alive when he denied their Jan. 6 motion to set aside that 2000 order and appoint an attorney for her.

The Schindlers are the respondents in the guardianship petition filed by Terri Schiavo’s husband, Michael Schiavo, who has been trying since 2000 to have her feeding tube removed. Schiavo, the woman at the center of the nationwide life-and-death debate, has been in and out of nursing homes and hospice care since she collapsed in 1990, possibly of a potassium imbalance. With her heart stopped, her brain was deprived of oxygen and she became severely disabled.

In their Jan. 6 request to set aside, or “void,” the 2000 feeding tube removal order, the Schindlers made three arguments.

Now, if someone explained to the judge that if Terri Schiavo dies due to any form of neglect, or lack of available medical care, due to a court order, that that judge would then be liable to be charged as an accessory to murder - how then would he rule?

A woman wakes up from a coma after many years, makes a telephone call and it is hailed as a miracle.

Did anyone down there get the hint?

HELLO!!??!?!?

Dr Mike Robinson, co-author of the

report and lead clinician at the

intensive care unit, said the case

raised "serious ethical issues".

"Foetuses don't have rights in law, but

once born you have to look at the child

in terms of what is in their best

interest," he said.

Are you listening Judge Greer?

You couldn't explain anything to him, he is so stupid he
accepted campaign donation from Felos and one from each of the legal team behind him. Singularly they are legal, but from the same office, it might be a firm and that would make it illegal. In any event, Felos has a high profile case in front of him, and this smells so badly of misconduct, even though it legally speaking isn't. It does; however, tend to make you not believe in the integrity and honor of the judiciary system here in Florida. Greer's campaign was on billboards, signs, everywhere, I'm not so sure that that was in accordance with Canon 7 of the Code of Judicial Ethics either. I know he sure smeared the Florida judges though, it will be a long time before his accepting the donation loses its stink.
