IMHO, GOOGLE is evil and anti-traditional American culture.

There is no Second ammendment as far as these twerps are concerned.

If you must use GOOGLE, use DOGPILE, (www.dogpile.com) instead. As a meta search engine it uses Google and a bunch of other search engines so Google's hits do not exceed the other engines. Thus giving those twerps no advantage in hit counts.

Not to mention that dogpile comes up with a more "diverse" search result! (OK that was uncalled for, but true anyhow)

I do not think there is a little Dem behind the curtain choosing the pictures. From what I understand, there is an algorithm by the number of hits... Am I off on this?

"From what I understand, there is an algorithm by the number of hits... Am I off on this?"

You are entirely correct. The search engine displays in order based on the number of links and hits. They may contribute to the dems heavily, but I doubt that they rig the engine.

My first Image search on Dogpile brought this link with the very first picture. http://www.bocm.us/links.htm on that Page is a link to Protestwarrior and Freerepublic.

I was looking for a photo of Larry the cable guy.

I think it would be naive to believe that Google doesn't rig the engine towards liberal ideology. It has been exposed recently that they are rigging the results towards advertisers so I have little confidence in Google's ability to be objective. Perhaps we should troll over to the DUmmie board and ask.

Their employees are young and stupid. Things will change when the realize that it's the Dems who want to tax them out of everything they're earning at one of the few surviving dot coms. Generally speaking, as people acquire wealth, the find that they have something to protect and that it's the Democrat Party from which that something needs protecting.

Employees of U.S.-based search engine Google gave $207,650 to federal candidates for the 2004 elections =================================

And so? Which employees? Most businesses have employees who donate to Democrat candidates.

I'm not ready to give up Google based on this.

Altavista is good. At first it will feel strange, and they do in line advertising rather than sidebar advertising but in terms of searches it works just fine.

Yes, actually, microsoft improved greatly last year in terms of which party they contributed funds too. Maybe they're learning, slowly.

I think there's a large amount of confusion among some people of compassion with government action. There's another contingent of corporate leaders who would prefer government nanny programs replace the ones offered by the companies, for example, health care.

A search engine isn't a person. It is just a piece of technology that looks up what you ask it to look up.

That depends on how it is programmed. Google News ignores conservatives. It ignored Rathergate. It
