I notice you skipped the reference to the Berlin Wall. Why should I address such a silly non-sequitor.

Kindly explain what you suggest the United States should do about Mexico, then.

"People who post racist comments are not necessarily racists. Most on FR who repeat racist statements simply don't appreciate that what they are saying is racist."Is this what you're talking about?
Directed to me a few days ago:
"By your bio page, you reveal your personality to be more Cuban than American and your thinking is more Latino rather than Anglo-Saxon."
According to the individual who posted this to me, I'm genetically unable to "connect" with Anglo-Saxons.

This IS what I'm talking about!!!! You (see Minuteman project) want to put civilians where PROFESSIONALS are needed.. I concur, but the professionals AREN'T there and the prez is not going to supply them because doing so would defeat his amnesty....pardonez moi! "guest worker" idea. Then what? Stand back and watch our nation be devoured by the barbarians within and without?

But then again, what's it to ya?
To: Cronos
we WANT skilled immigrants from around the world. Illegal immigrants hurt the system, but legal ones help strengthen the system Bingo.
To: skeeter
Because maybe, it migth NOT be a non-sequitor. Bauilding and maintaining 5,000 miles worth of wall is going to be expensive. It's not a one-time expense. People still have to man it and patrol it.
How does it get paid for?

I don't drink beer, but I might make an exception in this case after what we went through with the Arnold for Governor campaign. He was downright nasty! Can say about time?

And when comments like that are questioned, the folks who post it scream "race card!"
And they wonder why some people think racism is a potential problem on immigration threads.

LEGAL entry is still less risky and troublesome for people from Haiti than illegal entry is I didn't suggest that lawbreakers should be first in line to be "guest workers" and that fast road to citizenship. If there was a legal ----- open to all people --- guest worker program, Haitians and many others could arrive legally and safely. There is absolutely no reason that we would need "guest workers" from only one country. We've never had immigration like this before where all others are barred and only one country is given exclusive rights to dump as many of their citizens as they choose.

According to the individual who posted this to me, I'm genetically unable to "connect" with Anglo-Saxons. You and I have disagreed in the past, but I'd actually consider that as an unintended compliment. Anglo-Saxons have been wrecking Europe for centuries.

I don't think so. So, which is it, group A, libs, or group B, conservative chicks. I'm aspiring to group B. :)

Give up, Hutch ... he's not going to think about this rationally, so it's pointless to argue. Thanks for the boost, though.
