You speak of 11 million kids without health care, how about the 40-60 million who have been killed who will never get the opportunity to even know about health care?

Your e-mail is right on the money in that it beautifully illustrates the prerequisite hypocrisy of the left (tell ‘em what they want to hear and then support programs that belie your words and increase your own wealth/political power).

Important conclusions can also be drawn regarding Kerry’s views on healthcare for children by simply taking a good look at the most important choice he made in his recent bid for the presidency: his choice of running mate.

He selected a man who amassed his personal fortune by using junk science to ‘prove’ that there is a correlation between cerebral palsy in newborns and natural birth-canal births (when absolutely no reputable scientific evidence points to that conclusion). As a result of Edwards’ self-enriching distortions of medical truths, many more North Carolina women are giving birth by Caesarian section (far more dangerous than normal, birth-canal births), obstetricians are leaving the state in droves because their malpractice insurance premiums have skyrocketed as a result of the toxic legal precedents that Edwards' cases have set, and healthcare for expectant mothers and their newborns has suffered a dramatic deterioration.

Edwards also refused to take on the cases of cerebral palsy children (as opposed to newborns) because the monetary awards in such cases are significantly lower.

Somehow one would think that a man who is proposing a ‘Kids First’ act would have refrained from choosing as a running mate a legal/judicial leech whose resume exhibits a ‘Dollars First’ philosophy … and kids … and their mothers … and quality healthcare for both … be damned.

A piece of advice to all Americans: Any time a leftist espouses a concern (of any kind) for children, stand guard over yours. Their future financial security, individual liberties, or very survival, are about to be bargained away under the guise of political nanny-state ‘compassion’ (an oxymoron, if there ever was one).

Very well said Joanie (as always) and spot on. As noumenon said in response to my post at number 77. These people in reality are monsters and death is the ultimate currency they deal in.
