Yeah, they're irrelevant. These companies CAN'T AFFORD to be down for an hour a year. It doesn't matter how much more 5x9's costs them. They simply have to do it. As a business owner, I do have mission-critical system requirements. The cost of the competing solutions IS important because it impacts my bottom-line. Any salesman who comes in and tells me that cost/benefit analysis is irrelevant will be laughed out of my office.
