To all:

Let me tell you, just let the Chinese Reds go into Nepal...it would be like our Vietnam and the Soviet Union's(oh yeah, I forgot...THERE IS NO MORE CCCP!) Afghanistan!

Mountains are no place to fight a war!

Remember, Nepal is the ancestral home of the FEARED Gurkha warriors of the British Gurkha Regiments. Those little guys are some true warriors, and although outnumbered a gozillion to one, the Reds would have all they could handle! Besides, with their knowledge of the terrain, their aclimatization to the brutal weather, their fierce warrior ethos, and their proud, proud heritage of calm under fire...those Chinese conscripts would be pissing in their boots!

If China did decide to do something like try to invade Nepal, our response would probably be similar to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan...spec ops and CIA operatives providing "assistance" and weapons...through a third party of course!

Interesting, Nepal just cleaned out their old weapons lockers. I got a 1873(?) M-R with bayonet for a little over $600. I guess they need money to fight the commies. God Bless them in their efforts.

My God! they are welcome to it....you recieved the gift of intestinal worms as soon as you stepped off the C-130 at Dharan.
Pokhara, where the Ghurka recruiting base is located was
very picturesque.
