On "Special Report," Brit pointed out that FDR's grandson said there is NO WAY FDR would have gone for the partial privitization of Social Security accounts. Unfortunately for Mr. Grandson, FDR did exactly that, in writing, when he first proposed the plan to Congress!

Brit also pointed out that Sen. Reid contradicted himself 180 degrees on the privitization of SS accounts; during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday" a while back he spoke positively about it; this week he is saying, No way.

I think Greta said that FDR's grandson was having a cow over this. My thoughts were, who cares? FDR is dead and I don't know what, if any, policy position his grandson holds.

I deal w/college kids who have a hard time reading journal articles that are 10 years old because that's 'too old' or the 'technology was different and everything is changed now,' they certainly aren't looking to FDR for how they should think about social security.

While I'm a boomer and have a bit more sense of perspective and history, FDR might as well start spinning in his grave, cause those of us who are here now need to bring SS into the 21st century. To heck w/the grandson and the Dims.
