A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 2.3.05
AP, yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov ^ | Thursday February 3, 2005 | GretchenM

President and Mrs. Bush attended the National Prayer Breakfast in DC this morning.

President Bush took his "Social Security can be fixed" message directly to Americans.

The Senate voted 60-36 to confirm Judge Alberto Gonzales as United States Attorney General, with all of the "no" votes coming from Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independent Jim Jeffords of Vermont.

Any other descriptions of what the president or his chief advisors did today will appear next to the photos.

Enjoy today's visit to Sanity Island!

**RUSH: Mr. Vice President, thanks for your time. Just know everybody is out there praying for you, and we all love you. Thanks for your time and all the best. **

Well just over 50% of who voted are as for the others well they hatred and spite towards the Vice President surprises me each time they do it. Is it fear, is it jealousy what is it. He has achieved the American dream which they pay lip service to but in fact only want that to be true of their elitist's group whilst pretending to pander to minorities but never actually allowing minorities to become part of the main stream. RATS is too nice a name for them.

**There are more females than males in college now, which is not good, imho. Males are in trouble more. The lack of father figures in many homes is at crisis-levels.**

This is so true of the situation in England as well. So many children are growing up never knowing a father figure at home 24/7. They may visit at the weekend or a couple evenings in the week but so many do not experience real family life and those that do have a man and woman at home very often they are not both the natural parents of the children. Commitment is a dirty word and self gratification and what I want is the predominate attitude of the modern world and the next and future generations are suffering because of it. IMHO of course!!

**When he went to college, we were informed at the parents' orientation that it was the policy of the women's safety program to tell incoming female students to think of all men as potential rapists. I was shocked. The young men in class or in the dorms aren't to be seen as their protectors and companions, but rapists. This is what comes from radical feminism, folks.**

Have you read Lynne Cheney's book Telling the Truth? This book exposes that mentality and far worse - fascinating if at times quite heavy reading. It is readily availble second hand on Amazon.com.

**Girls often can shake off the damaging effects in their lives of neglect or trauma, and will still go on to be successful although delayed.

Boys often never get over the effects from lack of nurturing in their childhood.**

How true I have seen this with several friend where their marriage breaks up the boys handle it far worse. In one case the boy totally blamed himself and then felt even though he was only about 10 that he should be the man of the house.

I also think that possibly girls get more support from their friends whereas it is not a manly thing "to share" girls are taught that this is goods to do from very young but boys are taught this is not what "real men" do.

Clearly, we are looking at a Bush Babe! Look at those arms up in the air, especially the one holding her purse. Golly, is she glad to see her President, and ready to give him a huge hug or what?

Excercise, good eating habits (including lots of water), plenty of rest, and the prayers of God's people.

That's what President Bush said yesterday in Montana:

Now, I really -- the best health care plan -- one of the aspects of the best health care -- any good health care plan is to encourage right choices. What you put into your body matters, and how you treat your body matters. And so I -- thank you for bringing up -- giving me a chance to segue into exercise. As a matter of fact, prayer and exercise are what keeps me going as -- as the President. And family and friends -- family and friends, especially Laura.

"restoring dignity to the White House"

I think that is a perfect summary of W's presidency.

I have yet to hear of any blow-job scandals in the oval office since he was elected.

I agree with you. I found this medical article today at JWR that really has me concerned -- http://www.jewishworldreview.com/0904/medicine.men090704.asp -- if you take a look at it, will you email me what you think about it?

Thanks for your comments at #62.

I wish someone in DC or NY would have the guts to dig out the information about how Congress -- that's right, boys and girls, our guardians of the public trust -- began dipping into Social Security funds decades ago to help get us into this horrendous mess.

I wish reporters would name names of who made it possible for Social Security funds to be "appropriated" elsewhere.

I don't have a problem with the chalk but I sure get asthmatic around those dry-erase markers for white boards.

Glad I'm not in school any more.
