The charges of 'who had aided the confederates' were quite clearly false, the charges were nothing but a lie to justify mohammad and his band's killing and looting, and taking into slavery the women and children of the entire Hebrew town that gave the mohammadans refuge.
That was how mohammad repaid the Hebrews for their kindness.
