Many of the Citizens here do not want the Minuteman Project, the Local Law Enforcement doesn't want them, the Border Partol doesn't want them.

It is my opinion that these folks should leave their guns at home. Please bring the wife and kids with you there is some wonderful history in this area. Please take the time to know us before you stage an armed invasion into our communities. How selfish and foolish is it to come to someone else's hometown with guns in your hands when the citizenry have told you that you are not welcome in that capacity! I respectfully request that Jim Gillcrest or whoever is leading this group kindly ask them to "stand down". Thank you, I am not experienced at starting threads, but this issue is doom hanging over our homes. Their presence may only cause the deaths of more Border Agents or Local or Federal agents or some (perhaps well meaning) people who think they are coming here to accomplish something in a month that they are not trained to do.

If the Feds refuse to abide by the wishes of the taxpaying citizens in securing our country when all sorts of spies, etc. are coming over our borders, what else is there to do but for citizens to lawfully patrol that area ?

Well there is a problem with what you purpose. Keep the all the illegals in your home town along with your peace and quite, kids, dogs, etc.

Illegals don't stay in your home town do they, no they travel to and pollute the volunteers home towns costing a small fortune for their care, feeding, education, medical bills, housing, and services, including WIC, Medicare, Welfare.

It would be nice if the border patrol were allowed to do their jobs, but they are not doing the job. So it would seem that some American citizens feel the need to take it upon themselves to stop this invasion that the congress is charged with protecting us from, according to the Constitution, a obligation they have chosen to turn their backs on.

I would think that a wait and see if citizens can get the job done in a sane manner before getting in a twist about it. Not trained in law enforcement? If what is happening to our borders is an example of the best that law enforcement training provides then it's a dirty joke.

Cops also tell us that we should roll over and give muggers and thieves what they want.

I don't think I'll do that, either.

If you can't do the job, We The People will. And oh, by the way, if you can't do the job - you're fired! We're kind of tired of a Big Stupid Government that spends trillions but can't seem to do straightforward work.

What's Spanish for "Would you like fries with that?" People who can't do the job they have may need to seek another line of work.

I agree that visitors should call first and make an appointment if they want to visit. How are homeowners going to tell the difference between a stranger and an unwelcome visitor? Shoot first, says the property owner of a trespasser, and sort it out later.

I think your concerns and thoughts are to be greatly considered and appreciated. You are truly on the front lines. On the other hand, of course, the 15 million illegals that pass through usually head for other destinations. In fact one small town in New Jersey -- a town of 10 thousand, has an estimated illegal alien population of 4 thousand now occupying that town. That is just one small town some 3000 miles from the entry point.

It is from that frustration that Americans are trying to do something to stop the silent and devastating invasion. Make no mistake about it, when 4 illegal foreign Nationals move to your small town -- and the government will not help you, it is an invasion.

It is against that back drop that individuals are hell bent to do something. I agree that converging in an area with guns drawn can make temperatures rise and lead to problems, but I also believe that this illegal alien problem can not simply be ignored or resigned to writing letters to the editor.

For the millions of American who foolishly believe they are not impacted by the silent invasion, or for the scores more who profit from it, it is time that they be exposed to the truth. Illegal immigration hurts this country -- it destroys communities. It drives all wages down and social costs up, and it makes it harder for law abiding immigrants to come to this country.

It is time to stop the silent invasion, and it appears some have decided to do so by making some noise.

LOL, then the Federal government needs to become more effective. We protect borders all over the planet, yet we cannot afford to care for our own.

If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be humorous.
