I was about to give up whan I came across this.
Greer, George W. (NOP)(CTJ) 03/11/2004 500.00 CHE MCFARLAND GOULD LYONS SULLIVAN & HOGAN 311 S. MISSOURI AVE CLEARWATER, FL 33756 LAW
A Doug Jones works for this group.
I don't know if this is the same Doug Jones, who is President of the Advocacy Center or not. But if it is, I think they have a problem. This Doug Jones defends "physicians, nursing homes and other health care providers." (And his law firm contributes to Judge Greer.) If it is the same Doug Jones, I wouldn't think he would be a good choice to be President of the Advocacy Group that may need to prosecute these same "physicians, nursing homes and other health care providers."

I didn't find any Doug Jones, and only found three Douglas Jones listed as Florida Bar Member (none in Largo) -- a Douglas Stuart Jones (tax attorney in Tampa), a Douglas Earl Jones (Boca Raton), a Douglas Preston Jones (Tallahasee), the one listed above, whose law firm contributed to Judge Greer and obviously defends cases in front of Judge Greer.
I don't know if it is the same Doug Jones, but I think we need to find out. Even if they are not the same, this information shows us what type of people gave to Judge Greer's campaign, a firm with a direct interest in the outcome of nursing home cases in front of Judge Greer.

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was looking at the same data as you and I dind't find this. I will work more on this. I will almost bet that it is the same Doug Jones, his law firm contributed to greer and he sits on the BOD of the Advocacy center. As well as Richard La Belle who also contributed to Greer and also is on the BOD of the Advocacy Center. The same Advocacy Center who has had an "open" investigation of the care provided to Terri Schiavo since October 2003, and hasn't done a damn thing IMHO.
Thank YOU so much. When everyone helps a little bit see how the dots are getting connected. I think I am just going to call that Law Firm and talk to "Doug Jones" and flat out ask him if he is the same Doug Jones as is on the BOD of the Advocacy Center. If he says "Yes" then I will quiz him on the activities of the BOD related to the investigation.
Again, GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You da man (or da woman as the case may be)
This is getting interesting. By the way, here I go again but I worked at the McFarland, Gould Law Firm in the nineties. They specialize in probating estates and in real estate. Maybe they want to keep Greer's factory going.
FELOS AND JONES STATE ATTORNEYS AT THE SAME TIME????
