I once heard a lecture on how the German Stormtroop offensive of 1918 was stopped by white bread, marmalade, and beef stew. As the Germans overran the British lines and penetrated into the rear areas, German soldiers who had been subsisting on sawdust bread, turnips, and horsemeat found stockpiles of real food. Their propaganda had told them that the British were starving due to the U-Boat war and they could see with their own eyes that this was false. The starving German troops stopped to pig out on the first real food they had seen in years.
A North Korean invasion could be stopped by pots of kimchee.
