I read a report that said not a lot of Sunni turnout? If so, they've cut off their own noses, choosing to not vote does not invalidate an election.

It appears not a lot of it. And no it doesn't make the election any less valid.

They're mortaring the base now, but they do this from time to time and their aim sucks. Perhaps they're frustrated at not having the success they want outside the wire?

They don't appear to be deterring the voters at all.
