Saw it. Shep said Saddam started building what is essentially an underground city after the Gulf War. The sleeping quarters for his foot soldiers still have chemical boots in them. What did he need those for if he didn't have chemical weapons? The city/bunker went on for over a mile, and below the main floor there were another 3 floors that are now flooded with the water of the Ephrates. As Shep said, this bunker would've cost millions of dollars, all spent while the Iraqi people were starving and without power.

This is somewhat different from the articles Ive been reading claiming only 1/3rd of Iraqis living outside of the country and registered will vote...

'I believe by the end of today it is likely that we will be close to two thirds of those who registered having participated in the vote with one day still to go,' said Peter Erben, head of the Iraq out-of-country voting program run by the International Organization for Migration

And did you see the first part which showed all the bomb damage (including bunker busters) of the palace above but did not damage the bunker below? US forces only found the bunker by accident. That one boot you speak of confirms my belief that yes, there were WMD's and someday that will be proven. Saddam and guards could have ridden out much of the war for months in that bunker but instead elected to hide in a spider hole. One day I'd like to read the story of how that came about.

Having NBC suits and antidotes does not mean you have an operational cache of WMDs. Iran has chemical munitions and used them on Iraq on the battlefield. They had the war of the cities during the 1980s with both sides launching SCUDS at their respective capital cities. They uses hig explosive warheads but could have resorted to chemical loads. Many nations train to fight and survive in a nuclear, chemical and biological environment. The Iraqis built many of their underground bunkers with filtration systems for NBC purposes.
