Moderates are, by necessity, unprincipled -- and therefore, poor leaders.
I have more respect for an honest, consistent liberal than I do for some limp-wristed moderate.

Giussolini may be a (ultra) liberal on (most) issues not related to law and order and "terrorism," but at least he doesn't stab conservatives in the back.
Thankfully, Rudy, Whitless, and Pataki will NEVER be President.

Giuliani was also very pro-Bush and did a lot to get him elected. With who? Bush won every state he won the last time, with the exception of New Hampshire. I seriously doubt Giuliani had anything to do with putting Iowa and New Mexico into Bush's victory column this year.

Giuliani traveled extensively and campaigned for Bush and also appeared on TV quite a bit. I don't know how many votes it got him but that sounds like he worked a lot for Bush.

That he did. Rudy's advantage over other moderates is that he never stabs conservatives in the back. I hope he runs against Spitzer for Governor (let Pataki go the the Senate) in 2006, but would never want him as President.

IMO us moderates are the only ones capable of rational thought. Both the left and right extremes are intellectually crippled by ideology. What, specifically, makes you a "moderate", and why? And please, something more than the ridiculous, "I'm fiscally conservative but socially liberal", which is an impossibility. What are your specific views on issues?
