TASK FORCE TO PROBE MILWAUKEE ELECTION
By Greg Borowski 1/26/05
Local and federal law enforcement authorities are finalizing a task force that is to look into potential fraud in Milwaukee in the Nov. 2 election, sources confirmed today.
The details are being worked out between Milwaukee County District Attorney E. Michael McCann, U.S. Attorney Steve Biskupic, Milwaukee Police Chief Nannette Hegerty and the local office of the FBI.
The task force comes in the wake of Journal Sentinel revelations that more than 1,200 votes came from invalid addresses and that there were other problems with how the election was run in the city.

Complete coverage of this story will appear online later tonight and in the Journal Sentinel in the morning.
Sounds serious this time!
I'm not from Milwaukee. Can someone tell us about the U.S. Attorney there?
Smart states are red
Dumb states are blue
Good thing we have the guns
Or we'd all be screwed, too...
Does anyone have a ping list for FReepers following the Milwaukee vote fraud story?
How about WA state, eh? No, lets focus on this and blame Bush.

Ping
It's about time! The democrats have been getting away with this stuff for so long they've come to see dead people and dogs as part of their base.
The Feds are in on it! Maybe they'll be able to break through the local corruption. The Democrats will regret ever bringing up voter fraud because they are masters of it.
Perhaps the U.S. Attorney, Steven Biskupic, will finally take something serious. I e-mailed him my disappointment that he said that no interest would be served by pressing federal charges against those who slashed the tires on Republican vans.
His response to me left much to be desired.
Crap! I hate it whey you're right. :)
It's the FED involment that got me so excited. I hope that's the breakthrough we've been waiting for! (I hope someone's keeping an eye on the shredders down at city hall now that the word has leaked.)
As for Washington State, it's a little different since it's already in court. I suspect the U.S. Attorney will stay away from that one until it shakes out a little more. The Rossi people are uncovering some really good stuff from what I hear at SoundPolitics.com.
what was his response?
Come to Washington state afterwards please... We still do NOT know who our legitimate governor is. Of course we have 1000+ illegal ballots, voters who "live" and registered their addresses at boarded up buildings, provisional ballots fed directly into the machine, and politically active residents of cemetaries... but hey! - democrats think ALL the votes should count! /s
I recall that the FBI was involved in questioning witnesses in the tire slashing probe. But all the prosecutions were by local authorities, weren't they?
I wonder if maybe they uncovered something in talking to those witnesses? Hmmmm. I'm just dying for some good juicy stuff to come out about how they fix all these big-city elections!
Don't expect to read or hear much about this in the liberal MSM. This will be buried, if even reported, on page 8 of the NY Times, Washington Post, LA Times, etc..
It will be turned into something along the lines of "evil republicans" trying to get back at democrats or some such nonsense. The DU crowd will say they we are out to get them for revenge and that will be the angle the NYslimes take.
On the serious side. Every voter now is required to have a valid picture ID and can only vote in their district.
Have you been following all the Washington updates on Sound Politics? They posted the elections office data base today and their readers have been pouring over it finding all kinds of irregularities.
