Never Again - At the U.N.

At a special United Nations session, held on Monday, in New York, to commemorative the 60th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Nazi Concentration Camps, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Pierre Pettigrew, told the assembly, "It happened, in my mind, because the greatest evil is indifference."

Over 6 million Jews were systematically murdered during the Holocaust. Millions perished during World War II.

‘Never again!’ is how Pettigrew ended his eloquent speech, parroting the theme, started by U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan. Earlier Annan declared that, "Such an evil must never be allowed to happen again," and urged the world body that, "We must be on the watch for any revival of anti-Semitism, and ready to act against the new forms of it that are appearing today."

The United Nations was ‘born out of the ashes of the Holocaust.’ But has the United Nations learned from World War II’s history?

Doubtful if you consult people living in Rwanda, Bosnia, Cambodia, and Iraq who have suffered unimaginable horror, and bloodshed, since the day the Nazi's were destroyed, and as Pettigrew acknowledged, the ‘list of those damned by indifference goes on.’ . . . .

"Never Again!"

Unless you have oil that can be bought and if I can get kickbacks and my dad is the UN Sec Gen. Come to think, he might want some of this action, too.

"Never Again!"

Unless you are Christian desperately fighting for your life against Muslims, who we all know are really just peaceful people inside. (Don't want to offend them, now.)

"Never Again!"

How many people would be here if we didn't support abortion? Oh, well, didn't need them any way . . . Overpopulation of the world, you know . . .

"Never Again!"

I heard Jordan was the only Arab country to stay in the hall. Every other country left.

Interesting that the UN's theme was "Never Again", yet has done very, very little toward that end.

American force of arms has done more to free the oppressed in the last year than the UN has in the previous 50.

When the Nuremburg trial went down, lots of people, especially Liberals here in the US, patted themselves on the back. Indeed, that trial was a good thing. However, Nuremburg only addressed a small sample of German Nazis. Nazis in a number of other European countries essentially walked. Nazis in the Middle East were not even addressed. And furthermore, Jew hating Stalinists, pan Slavists, non Nazi pan Germans, pan Sinics, and various other totalitarian tumors were not even addressed in any way - not only were they never rounded up and prosecuted, they were not even named! No wonder the monsters are knocking on the door - AGAIN!

Canadian Minister Pettigrew, is of course a compassionate and humane human being. Unfortunately this brings up an important question.

If it is "Never Again", how does humanity stop a murderous dictator?. Mr Pettigrew will likely not deign to answer. If the United Nations sanctions failed to stop Saddam Hussein, what next Minister?. Why did your country fail to support the removal of a murderous dictator in Iraq.? Further more, why did your underlings then scream insulting abuse at the man that DID?.

His name? George W. Bush.
