The "French Revoution" is on the History Channel at 8:00 P.M. EST in my area f anyone is interested - It is a fairly good example of the bloodshed and chaos that always ensues when these types grab power in the streets.

I caught the soldiers saluting, queenkathy.

Several members of my AF Reserve Unit marched in the Inaugural Parade and Passed In Review Thursday. They ignored the noise makers and had a great time.

Jack.

Well that was worth watching the whole dang 90 minutes of the garbage. They were just beautiful. a little bit like an oxymoron isn't it. In contrast to all that ugliness, there were several REAL AMERICAN soldiers. Standing straight, proud and tall. Thank you to all military soldiers. My husband is a VietNam vet and we went to the WW II and VietNam Memorials while we were there.

I just saw the Mexican woman speaking (she doesn't speak English, of course) and wondered if she was legal as well (I lived in New Mexico for 12 years, so I have an idea of our border problems.) She complained that there is a "low intensity war" going on on our southern border against Mexicans, like the US is not supposed to control its own borders and thus protect its sovereignty. The next speaker complained about our invasion of "the sovereign nation of Iraq". Other countries have the right to control their borders but us? Why don't the liberals ever admit or see the irony and inconsistency of their positions? I agree with the Freeper who pointed out that no one is trying to break into Cuba. Just like they weren't trying to break into Iraq under Saddam, or the Soviet Union, and so on. Those countries control their borders to keep their own citizens from leaving.

I was amazed when I saw all the names of soldiers killed during VietNam. I also thought about kerry. Here he was from a wealthy family, he even dated Jackie Kennedy's sister I heard. Friends with the Kennedy family. then he goes to Nam, comes back and protests on those very same streets we were on this week. Urinates on the American Flag and then expects to be President? Puhleeez!

They were not a very threatening group. Becker is a buffoon playing a 60's radical. It's like some teenager singing a Stones song. It just sounds stupid.
On Laura Ingram's show Becker was screaming to the crowd telling them how horrible the economy is and he asked how many of them were out of work. When nobody responded he said, "well I guess we're not too bad". Any lawyer will tell you, don't ask a question you don't know the answer to.

We had the moving Viet Nam wall come here to Cheektowaga a few years ago. My whole family went to see it. I had a P.O.W. bracelet back then, I wore it all the time. The soldiers name was Sgt. James Rozo. One of my daughters found his name on the wallfor me and I just cried and cried. Screens a little blurry now as I type this.

Yes it was a very somber experience at the wall. All those names! I had a friend who wore a bracelet too.

When the traveling Wall came to Oceanside in California, I,
my husband, our daughter and her husband went. While standing in line, there was a young family in front of us, the son being 8 or 9. I heard him ask his father, was it his Uncle that died in Viet Nam? The father said this was his Uncle and Great Uncle to him and they were going to look for his name on the wall. The young boy being bored was teasing his sister and obviously wanted to be somewhere else to play than to stand in a line with a bunch of people to look at a silly wall. He started chasing his sister while she ran a circle around her parents. I stood there silent thinking what kind of tales were being taught in school now and what was being probably being told to this young boy. I could not stay silent any longer and ask the family if I may speak. I bent down so I could look into the face of this young man. I told him he must always stand tall and be very proud of his Great Uncle and the sacrifice he made for all of us. That his Great Uncle was a real hero and was better and greater than even Spiderman. I told him his Uncle sacrificed so that all of us could stay free. That his Uncle served when his Country needed him and did have a choice to either serve his country or go to Canada. His Uncle choose to be a real man and not a selfish coward like some others. I raised up and looked the Father in the eye and told him he too, should be very proud and that the majority of Americans did appreciate the extreme sacrifices that all those names on that wall represented. After I finished, I stood back to be with my family and noticed the son and his father standing quite tall with their heads held high as they went to the booth to look up their Uncle's name. Later I saw the family as they stood silently holding hands by the panel that had their Uncle's name, I did not want to disturb them but hoped they knew how truly appreciated the majority of Americans are for their uncle sacrifice and that he did not die in vain.
