... Let's just laugh and move on. ...

No! Its not funny and the democrat party is a corrupt enterprise. We need a patriotic media to expose their corruption and honest justice to be enforced. We need to see some of these pos in prison.

In both cases (Rice and Gonzalez), I believe it is democratic racism, or as Cosby called it "Poverty Pimping".

Democrats are notorious for wanting to help minorities.... help them stay on the farm picking cotton where they belong.

They could have never imagined in a million years that some "uppity colored girl" would dare to aspire to a cabinet post without their help.

Whats has them running more scared, is the fact that these jobs will no longer be owned by white DNC operatives. The DNC will have to post these jobs to minorities. Her majesty Hillary will no longer have the option of promising these jobs to other white attorneys, or the likes of Dean or whoever, to get them on board with her campaign. The dems know that these positions will HAVE to be filled with minorities.

A precedent has been set by Republicans, the bar has been raised. No longer can the DNC tell minorities "we'd love to post you to these positions, but we will need another 40 years of affirmative action before you are ready".

Gone now are the days when the only time a minority could visit the big house was with his uncle Tom "Jesse Budweiser Jackson".

No, they (minorities) have moved in the big house, they share the responsibility, they help make the decisions, and this, my friends, is what irks democrats the most.

Democrats no longer hold the back door key to the kitchen of Mastah's house. George Bush has opened the front door to people of all colors, and that is just plain unacceptable to democrats.

I watched the first eight hours of Condi Rice's confirmation hearings, and the "dirtiest little secret" that isn't getting much play in the MSM is Dick Lugar's horrible lack of leadership of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. His "leadership" was a total disgrace to the Republican Party.

To Boxer, Condoleeza Rice is just a servant who doesn't know her place. ....and in BOTOXER'S twisted mind she (Condi) shouldn't have a chance as the first woman running for the Presidency.

Also, I've been wondering. Was that a dead animal draped over her head?

Barbara Boxer is such a reprehensible b**ch that she has the potential to take down Dem candidates outside California. And minority voters have to be totally turned off by this spectacle. Slogan: "If Boxer's good enough for the Dems then the Dems aren't good enough for me".

Good article, it's great to see the Democrats described in these terms, but the article missed the fact that Boxer is the one who lied (a nod to Best of the Web). Boxer evidently never read the resolution to go to war with Iraq, or purposefully mischaracterized it. She also shamefully exaggerated the percent of those who have died in Iraq from her home state, claiming a disproportionate 25%, when the reality is 11%.

You know what's a fun thought exercise is to compare the intellects of Barbara Boxer and Condoleeza Rice. I mean, it's literally a case of a fly compared to an elephant, a pygmy against a giant. I remember the one "debate" in the Senate on the partial birth abortion bill where Santorum sliced and diced Boxer into a stammering, quivering piece of intellectual jello. I know there are some good people in the U.S. Senate but nitwits like Boxer and Murray and Kennedy are just an embarrassment.

Indeed. I wonder if Boxer is a blonde who dyed her hair brown to cover up the fact that she fits the "dumb blonde" stereotype so well. As another poster noted, she came to this confirmation hearing "battle of wits" totally unarmed!

You better make your face up,
In your favorite disguise,
With your button-down lips,
And your roller blind eyes.
With your empty smile,
And your hungry heart,
Feel the bile rising,
From your guilty past.
With your nerves in tatters,
As the cockleshell shatters,
And the hammers batter, Down your door,
You better run.
You better run all day,
And run all night.
And keep your dirty feelings deep inside.
And if you’re taking your girlfriend out tonight,
You better park the car well out of sight.
’cause if they catch you in the back seat,
Trying to pick her locks,
They’re gonna send you back to mother,
In a cardboard box.
You better run!

Aye, another point I hadn't looked at.....

From that perspective, Rice running in 08 would destroy any steam the DNC would have by being the party running "a woman".

Imagine if the repubs ran a Black Woman....

Hillary would lose any edge she might have thought she had being a woman.

It would be interesting to see how the NAACP & NOW and other minority groups would react.

Would they vote against the "white rich guy party" running a black woman and vote for a white woman who was a shill for the DNC? Or would they put their money where their mouths are and vote for "diversity".

One can only see the fabric of Jesse Jacksons career ripping apart.

The democrats promise welfare, the Republicans promise that hard work will get you top.

How will the DNC be able to tell their people that there is a ceiling that only they can break?

This is what it boils down to....

Condi Rice will turn out to be a role model for millions of Americans, minority and majority, and she will be Republican. A Lady of class and dignity, not screeching, not yelling, not whining, not crying, not looking for handouts, not pimping her own race away. This is just unfathomable to the party of poverty pimps.

The most annoying thing about Boxer is that she tries for high drama as her normal means of communicating, but she is a HORRIBLE ACTRESS.

The painted-on frown, the pained manner of speech, the incessant pious moralizing....she is such a blatantly transparent phony, it is painful to watch on simply a human level.

Your words reminded me of those written by Mona Charen when Boxer was making her first run for the Senate, where Boxer was appropriately categorized as "the keening queen of the Welfare State". Keening, indeed.

Unfortunately, given the demographics and recent voting trends of CA, I'd say Boxer probably has that Senate seat for life. All she has to do is keep bad-mouthing conservatives and agitating (keening) for more free money from de gummint ("for the needy") and the sheeple will keep voting her in.
